The business mission of iST is creating maximum value for our customers, employees and shareholders
2025 marks a critical transformation milestone for the global semiconductor industry. With generative AI crossing the commercialization threshold and silicon photonics CPO, moving toward mass production, the robust demand for transmission bandwidth and computing power in high performance computing (HPC) drove a structural transformation across the industry chain.
In response to this structural transformation, iST fully implemented its“iST 2.0”strategy and roadmap in 2025—covering“Automotive Electronics Verification”,“Space Environment Testing”,“AI High-Speed Verification and Signal Simulation Testing”,“Advanced Processes and Packaging”, and“Smart Real-Time Global Reliability Verification”. Not only did the Company successfully evolve its core value into a comprehensive solution provider that “makes customer R&D easier”, but it also completed advanced deployments in three core areas:“AI high-speed computing”,“silicon photonics CPO,”, and“ALD sub-2nm new material verification”, laying a solid foundation for iST's future growth.
While deepening our technological expertise and positioning ourselves for the future, iST—as a responsible corporate citizen—remained dedicated to advancing various sustainability initiatives. Beyond our commitment to low-carbon transformation, establishing responsible supply chains, fostering diverse, inclusive, and healthy workplaces, cultivating talent, and supporting social causes, we actively pursued stakeholder engagement to build a more resilient and sustainable future.
In 2025, iST completed several energy-saving projects, achieving a total annual electricity saving of 2,829.195 MWh, equivalent to a reduction of 1,341.038 tCO2e. We completed the installation of and began utilizing renewable energy systems, generating a total of 196.416 MWh of electricity to provide zero-carbon renewable energy for Hsinchu Plant 2. In 2025, iST's intensity of GHG emissions decreased by 18.52% compared to the base year, achieving the target of an
8% reduction in the intensity of GHG emissions. This year, we introduced the ISO 50001 energy management system at our high energy-consumption sites and obtained third-party certification.
These efforts have yielded significant energy-saving results. In 2025, the electricity savings achieved through this system amounted to approximately 147.992 MWh. Looking ahead, we will continue to implement energy management systems across all sites to enhance energy efficiency. We also remain committed to adopting various energy-saving and carbon reduction measures, as well as utilizing low-carbon energy, to move steadily toward our reduction and net-zero.
iST is dedicated to cultivating a“people-oriented”corporate culture. Upholding the principles of “Respect for Human Rights”and“Diversity and Inclusion”, we strive to create a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace that is both healthy and supportive. In 2025, based on our “Human Rights Policy”, we conducted our first human rights due diligence process. In addition to assessing employees' perceptions of human rights issues in the workplace, we also conducted surveys of our supply chain partners to ensure that our operational activities do not infringe upon or violate human rights. These findings serve as a reference for human rights management initiatives aimed at safeguarding the rights and interests of our employees and value chain partners.
As of 2025, female employees accounted for 49.8% of the workforce, while female supervisors made up 39.4%, reflecting iST's commitment to achieving gender equality in the workplace. At iST, we value the employee experience and employee value proposition. We have actively established diverse and open communication platforms to respond to employee needs and suggestions in a timely manner. The internal customer satisfaction survey score for 2025 was 4.33, reflecting the effectiveness of iST's responsiveness to employee needs and feedback.
To achieve our vision of sustainable mutual prosperity, iST is committed to collaborating with supply chain partners to build a responsible supply chain. In 2025, iST led its key supplier partners in completing the “Occupational Health and Safety Self-Assessment Questionnaire”, utilizing these self-assessments to take stock of suppliers' current occupational safety and health status as a reference for future supply chain management enhancements. Furthermore, we conducted on-site ESG assessments and guidance for major assembly and PCB plants. Through these ESG assessments, we reviewed whether suppliers complied with assessment standards regarding occupational safety, environmental protection, and labor rights, while providing guidance and assistance for improvement. Looking ahead, we will continue to engage and guide our supply chain partners in advancing key ESG initiatives, evolving our supply chain management approach from supplier selection toward shared growth. By leveraging iST's influence, we aim to build a more responsible and resilient supply chain.
In 2025, iST received significant recognition and honors in the field of sustainability, demonstrating its outstanding performance in corporate governance, social inclusion, and talent sustainability. In addition to receiving the Asia Pacific Enterprise Awards (APEA) Master Entrepreneur Award, the Company was honored with the Corporate Excellence Award, demonstrating our robust capabilities and outstanding performance in corporate governance and competitiveness.
In the area of corporate sustainability awards, iST earned first place for both the“Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility Award”and“Talent Sustainability Award”(Little Giant Category) from CommonWealth Magazine in 2025. Additionally, in our first year participating in the TCSA individual performance categories, we received the“Talent Development Leader Award”and the“Workplace Wellbeing Leader Award”. These honors underscore iST's achievements in corporate social responsibility and our dedication to fostering a supportive workplace that prioritizes talent cultivation and employee wellbeing. iST was also honored with the Leading Enterprise Award for a Healthy Workforce – Emerging Model Award by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration of the Ministry of Labor. This recognition demonstrates iST's commitment to exceeding regulatory standards and its emphasis on the physical and mental well-being of employees. Furthermore, the Company has actively expanded its influence to supply chain management, establishing a corporate culture centered on safety and care.
These honors span the environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) pillars, reflecting iST's outstanding achievements in corporate governance, social inclusion, and talent sustainability. We remain committed to further refinement and excellence to realize the goal of sustainable operations.
Looking ahead, iST will remain committed to technological innovation and the development of forwardlooking solutions to maintain our competitive advantage. We will continue to deepen sustainable governance, strengthen value chain collaboration and climate resilience, and work alongside our customers, employees, society, and shareholders to build a better community. We aspire not only to fulfill our corporate citizenship but also to collaborate with stakeholders across all sectors, leveraging iST's influence to create a prosperous society and a sustainable future for all.
