iST has long been committed to supporting education and talent development, believing that scientific literacy is a key foundation for future innovation. Together with the National Synchrotron Radiation Research Center (NSRRC), Merck Taiwan, Evonik Taiwan, WIN Semiconductors, TSRC Corporation, and Chung Hwa Pulp Corporation, iST supports the "Chemistry on the Go" science outreach program organized by the Science Education Center of Tamkang University. By bringing together resources from industry, research institutions, and academia, the program delivers engaging hands-on science activities to schools, providing students in rural communities with greater opportunities to experience and explore science. Through these activities, students are encouraged to develop curiosity, critical thinking skills, and an innovative mindset for understanding the world around them. From May to June 2025, the Chemistry on the Go team visited Huashan Junior High School, Baoshan Junior High School, and Shuiyuan Elementary School in Hsinchu. Through interactive chemistry experiments and demonstrations, students were guided from observation and inquiry to hands-on practice, allowing them to discover scientific principles in a fun and memorable way while gaining a deeper appreciation of the connection between science and everyday life. iST volunteers also participated throughout the program, supporting activities and sharing in the students’ excitement as they explored the wonders of science. Talent development is essential to sustainable industrial growth, and science education serves as a critical starting point for nurturing the next generation of innovators. iST warmly invites more organizations and industry partners to join this meaningful initiative through sponsorship, volunteer engagement, or cross-sector collaboration, helping expand the reach and impact of science education and inspire more young minds across Taiwan.
