In Taiwan, hundreds of schools exist in a gap—neither in major cities nor in remote rural areas—known as the "in-between" regions. iST, driven by our belief in equitable education, has partnered with the CommonWealth Education Foundation to support the “A Big Future for Kids” Reading Project, delivering access to high-quality educational reading materials for underserved children.
Through this initiative, schools receive year-long subscriptions to Future Youth (for grades 4–6) and Future Children (for grades 1–3), two acclaimed publications that connect students to the wider world through stories on science, society, and global awareness. Recognized at international forums like the Bologna Children’s Book Fair, these magazines are more than reading materials—they are gateways to curiosity and critical thinking.
To better tailor content to classroom needs, the foundation also conducts annual surveys with participating schools, ensuring the reading program evolves based on real-world feedback from teachers and students.
At iST, we believe that fostering a love for reading is one of the most powerful ways to shape a child's future. By supporting this project, we hope to break down resource barriers and help every child—regardless of geography—discover the joy of reading, the freedom of learning, and the courage to dream.
