Empowering Lives Through the “Flipping Palms” Initiative

In 2024, iST continued to demonstrate its commitment to social inclusion by partnering with Grown-up with Hands Family, a residential facility dedicated to supporting individuals with moderate to profound intellectual and multiple disabilities, aged 18 to 45. Together, we hosted 35 charity sales events to promote their flagship program—the “Flipping Palms Initiative.”

Grown-up with Hands Family operates with a clear mission: to turn work into dignity, not profit. Through vocational training activities such as organic vegetable farming, handmade soaps, and artisanal food production, residents not only learn practical skills but also gain the opportunity to interact with society and affirm their self-worth. The name “Flipping Palms” signifies a deep, heartfelt transformation—from being passively helped to actively contributing and caring.

To support this meaningful initiative, iST provided event venues and subsidized 50% of the product prices. This allowed our employees to participate in a “buy one, give one” model—where every purchase they made doubled as a gesture of compassion and encouragement for the residents’ efforts.

Each vegetable and handmade product sold is a reflection of the residents’ dedication and growth. By purchasing and supporting their work, our colleagues helped reinforce the idea that every individual has value, and every act of effort deserves to be seen.

iST firmly believes that social responsibility is not just about giving—it's about creating opportunities for empowerment, connection, and dignity. We will continue to walk alongside our community partners like Grown-up with Hands Family to help flip more “palms” and rewrite more lives with love and action.
