In an aging society, there are elderly individuals who face the later stages of life with physical or cognitive decline, disability, and little to no family support. For these vulnerable seniors, day-to-day living can be overwhelming. In Hsinchu County, the Chang-An Nursing Home quietly and steadfastly serves these individuals with professional, full-time care—ensuring that their final chapters are met with respect, safety, and warmth.
 

The center cares for a diverse group: seniors over 65 who are physically dependent, Indigenous individuals over 55 with disabilities, those over 50 living with dementia, and frail or isolated elders who require support with even basic daily activities. The care team assists with every aspect of daily living—meals, hygiene, and emotional well-being—while also managing complex medical needs, including wound care, feeding tubes, and catheter maintenance. Regular rehabilitation evaluations help seniors maintain physical mobility, and transportation is provided for medical appointments in the Zhudong area. Visiting physicians offer on-site consultations to ensure continuity of care. More importantly, the team also tends to the emotional and social needs of each resident, bringing comfort to both body and soul.
 

At iST, we have been providing long-term financial support to Chang-An Nursing Home, helping to maintain consistent, uninterrupted care for those who need it most. Beyond funding, we also leverage our position as a connector within the community. Through our collaboration with another long-term partner, the Zhuo Zhuo Home, we bring handcrafted gifts to life. Their team of individuals with disabilities cultivates chemical-free vegetables and bakes homemade cakes, which we then share with the residents of Chang-An Nursing Home. These small but meaningful gestures—farm-to-table offerings made with care—bring joy and a sense of connection to the seniors’ everyday lives.
