Under the warm spring sunshine, participants rolled up their sleeves to dig the soil, position young saplings, and water the earth together. By the end of the activity, 30 sweet osmanthus trees had been planted—each one representing not only new life for the land, but also a shared moment of connection and hope. For iST, supporting community initiatives is never simply about giving—it is about learning, sharing, and growing together. Working side by side with the trainees, our colleagues were deeply touched by their sincerity, focus, and determination. Their spirit reflects a quiet yet powerful mindset: choosing to contribute with their own hands despite life’s challenges. In many ways, that spirit became a source of inspiration and healing for everyone involved. This Arbor Day initiative also brought iST’s sustainability values beyond the workplace and into real-world action. Through the act of planting trees, we transformed the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals—particularly Climate Action and Reduced Inequalities—from abstract concepts into tangible practices rooted in the soil. AiHeng LOHAS Garden is more than just a garden space. It serves as an important learning environment where trainees develop life skills and vocational abilities through horticultural activities and daily routines, gradually building confidence and independence. The osmanthus trees planted today will grow quietly over time, filling the garden with their gentle fragrance through the changing seasons. In the same way, every collaboration between businesses and community organizations plants seeds of long-term impact. iST warmly invites our clients, partners, and colleagues to visit AiHeng LOHAS Garden and experience the work and dedication of its trainees. Together, we can help cultivate a future that is not only greener—but also more inclusive. |
