Caring for Rare Diseases – Joining Music Rhythm Classes with Rare Disease Friends
After 13 years of dedication, the Rare Disease Foundation completed the construction of a sanctuary, which was officially opened in October 2022. This sanctuary is designed to provide a healing space for patients and their families, allowing them to relax and rejuvenate without the constraints of physical discomfort and caregiving concerns. Here, they can receive professional services from psychologists and social workers, connect with other patients, share life experiences, and gather the courage and strength needed to face life’s challenges.

In the current “Sensory Integration – Music Game Group Class,” iST serves as a classroom assistant volunteer, assisting teachers and patients in safely participating in the program. iST has rallied a team of passionate volunteers, and over the next two months, they will spend every joyful weekend afternoon with the patients and their families.
