In challenging and unpredictable era, iST was honored to welcome the group from the National Chengchi University’s International Student Summer Camp.
The theme of this event was "Geopolitical and Supply Chain Issues in the Semiconductor Industry". This was a valuable opportunity for us to demonstrate iST’s strengths and share our insights into the industry.

We began by introducing iST’s history and development to the students. iST has been dedicated to the research and application of semiconductor testing and verification technologies for a long time, providing high-quality services to customers worldwide. As technology advances, the semiconductor industry has become an important pillar of the global economy and a major driver of technology competition and economic development in many countries.

Then, we explored the geopolitical background of the semiconductor industry. Today, semiconductor technology is not only a business resource but also a strategic one. The demand and competition among governments around the world for advanced processes and high-end chips have intensified the geopolitical significance of semiconductor industry. In particular, the intensification of the China-US trade war has made semiconductors one of the cores of the game between the two parties. We also shared our insights on this trend, emphasizing the importance of balance in technology innovation and international cooperation.

In addition to sharing theories, we arranged on-site visits. Students visited our advanced laboratory and observed the operation of various testing and verification facilities. Professional engineers guided the students through every process, from design, manufacturing to testing, to make a chip, demonstrating our efforts in high-precision and demanding technical backgrounds. This experience helped students better understand the technical requirements of semiconductor products and appreciate the value of technology innovation.

We believe that this visit provided a valuable learning opportunity for the students. Under the background of globalization, the semiconductor industry is facing geopolitical challenges and supply chain risks. We must work together to address these issues. iST will continue to focus on technology innovation and international cooperation, with the hope of contributing to the development of the semiconductor industry.
